2) Constricting Hand on dogs and cats is a protocol to control bleeding. TRUE. As close to the injury as possible, apply firm pressure with 4 fingers over the main artery with hand and thumb wrapping around the extremity or tail.
3) Death by poisoning is the least common preventable pet accident. FALSE. Death by poisoning is one of the more common preventable accidents of pre-senior dogs and cats. Snail bait, rat poison, insecticides and antifreeze or ethylene glycol are some of the most common substances.
