Diamond Pet Foods has agreed to settle a class-action lawsuit over a major cat and dog food recall. The lawsuit was filed after Diamond issued a series of recall announcements in the spring of 2012 amid concerns about Salmonella bacteria contamination. The following brands are covered in the settlement: Apex, Canidae, Chicken Soup for the Pet Lover’s Soul, Country Value, Diamond, Diamond Naturals, Kirkland Signature, Natural Balance, Premium Edge, Professional, 4Health, Solid Gold, Taste of the Wild and Wellness.

I am so glad I don’t give Mochi kibbles. I know it is cheaper, but I think it will cost you more when your cat/dog is older due to illness. My dog’s health is my top priority! Just like people should not live off cereals and canned food, dogs should not either.
I agree Hiromi! After that Menu Foods scare several years ago, it woke up a lot of pet owners regarding what they were feeding their animals. At the time I was feeding my cats a raw food diet and I was very glad I was doing so at the time of the Menu Foods scandal!
